Where to Point It
Suffolk is quieter than Norfolk and just as pretty. Three drives from wherever we hand the car over.
The heritage coast
Southwold to Aldeburgh via Blythburgh, Dunwich and Snape, then on to Orford and back through Framlingham. Sixty miles of heath, estuary and shingle, with more than one very good lunch on the way.
The Stour valley
Sudbury, Long Melford, Lavenham, Clare and Cavendish — the medieval wool villages — then Dedham Vale towards Flatford. Slow, beautiful and largely empty on a weekday.
Newmarket and the Brecks
Bury St Edmunds out to Newmarket for the racing, then north through Thetford Forest's straight roads on the way home. The V10 finally gets a stretch.

Delivery is quoted by distance from Norwich and stated in your written confirmation before you commit. Lowestoft and Beccles are a short run; Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds and the coast are routine. Alternatively collect from us in Norwich at no charge — it is about an hour up the A140 from Ipswich.
That is exactly what the weekend escape is for: Friday afternoon to Monday morning, £1,495 all-inclusive with 450 miles, delivered to your cottage or hotel. Aldeburgh, Southwold and Woodbridge are the usual addresses.
